What happens when we design a product for ourselves?
Designed between Argentina and Colombia, Corium also represents our first foray into design and development entirely done in Latin America. Using local components and manufacturers, our first working prototype was produced in Medellín, Colombia.

Corium was designed around a 6mm proprietary recycled leather blend, and comes in two colors: black and brown.

Development
Corium was originally developed for Umbra’s 2025 ‘Surface Impressions’ Exhibition during DesignTO (Toronto Design Week), with the challenge of creating an object utilizing 6mm-thick recycled leather.

Corium actually began its life as a hanging lamp, but was later changed to meet an exhibtion requirement.
