How can we use technology to democratize design?

Multum is a furniture system that allows for a high degree of user customizability to meet the specific needs of their space and lifestyle.

Multum will be shown at the 2025 Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Multum is a series of solid oak wood furniture with mounting points for different 3D-printed accesories. By empowering an active role in the design process, users can choose from a library of existing accessories or leverage generative AI to create their own, enabling endless customization; all from the comfort of their home. A single stool can transform seamlessly from seating to a side table, a shelving unit, or even a coat rack. The only true limit is the user’s imagination. Crafted from durable oak, Multum maintains a timeless aesthetic while its modular accessories adapt to evolving spaces and needs.

3D-print accessories friction fit into the various holes in the furniture pieces.

Multum allows for the users to create, download, and print their own accessories to expand the function of their furniture. You’re only limited by your own imagination (and print material).

Multum Generator

Multum allows for direct participation in the design process by allowing users to generate their own accessories via a series of design prompts with Multum Generator AI. The system takes into consideration the constraints of the user’s existing 3D printer, and workers as a partner to help realize new ideas. Users also have the ability to download pre-existing design files as well.
