Taking a new look at one of the world’s very first mass-produced objects, dating back to Ancient Rome.
The Roman oil lamp was as ubiquitous and equally as important as the light bulb is today. The vessels, made of terracotta and produced in reusable molds, used oil as fuel and burned a wick to produce light. They came in a variety of different designs, having different configurations, handles, and graphics. We would like to pay homage to one of the earliest examples of industrial design.

This is an ongoing project.
We will be continuing to create concepts, adjust, and produce working prototypes.
